RESEARCH PROJECTS
Nowadays Biobide is developing various research projects oriented to different therapeutic areas. Those assays will be used for implementing new services in the automated high throughput screening platform (HTS) with zebrafish as animal model.
Toxicology area: general and specific toxicology studies oriented to the detection of death, mutagenicity, and other specific toxicity types in zebrafish.
Cardiovascular area: a project oriented to determine the therapeutic efficacy of compounds in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, and cardiotoxicity varieties classification, through detection of heart beat and arrhythmia in the zebrafish.
Bone area: project oriented to the osteoporosis deformation and osteoarthritis study in zebrafish, through bone and cartilage development analysis.
Oncology area: project oriented to create zebrafish animal models for tumor generation studies.
